Ray Allen on 3,000th Career Three Pointer
Ray Allen has scored 8,922 points on three pointers. That amounts to 2,974 career triples made. 26 threes for Ray could easily be accomplished by Ray in about ten games, and for him to achieve that legendary 3,000th career three pointer would solidify him as truly the greatest shooter the game of basketball has ever seen. It is for that reason, I would love to see Ray return for the 2014-15 season. From NBA All Day.

UFC Update: Former Welterweight King Georges St. Pierre Possible Comeback in 2015
From ESPN.com:
Zahabi swears the two do not discuss St-Pierre's potential UFC return, even during rehabilitation sessions on his left knee. He does, however, admit his personal belief is that St-Pierre will return next year.
"My personal opinion is he still has plenty of competitive juice in him. I don't think he'll be anywhere near fight shape until he's late-34 -- mid-34. I think he's got a few fights in him but I don't want to speak for the guy. He might retire and no one could blame him."
After walking away from MMA last December, St. Pierre tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee while wrestling, forcing him to go under the knife (pic) and endure several months on the sidelines. That ended any and all hope of a 2014 return.
St-Pierre, 33, is one of the greatest champions in UFC history. He held the welterweight title for six years before vacating it in December to take some time off from the sport. GSP cited personal reasons for leaving the UFC at the time, but within the last year he has been very vocal about performance-enhancing drugs and said he will not return to the UFC until it dramatically improves testing procedures.

Chauncey “Mr. Big Shot” Billups Retires from the NBA
Chauncey Billups, best known as “Mr. Big Shot,” told Yahoo Sports’ Marc J. Spears he is retiring after 17 seasons in the NBA.
The 37-year-old had his team option declined by the Detroit Pistons, according to the report. He had some opportunities with other teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, but opted to hang up his sneakers.
“It’s just time. I know when it’s time,” Billups told Spears. “My mind and my desire is still strong. I just can’t ignore the fact that I haven’t been healthy for three years. I can try again and get to a point where I think I can go, but I just can’t sustain. Me not being able to play the way that I can play, that’s when you kind of know it’s that time.
“It’s just time. I’m happy, excited. The game was very, very good to me. I felt like I was equally as good to the game the way I played it and the way I respected it and the way I carried myself through the process.”
The third overall pick in the 1997 NBA Draft, Billups actually bounced around the league for several seasons, before finding a home with the Detroit Pistons in 2002. He led the Pistons to the NBA Finals in 2004, where they won a championship, and he was crowned NBA Finals MVP.
He is a five-time NBA ALl-Star, and was honored with the J. Walter Kenedy Citizenship Award in 2008, the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2009, and the NBA Teammate of the Year Award in 2013.
