Paul George to Change Jersey Number from 24 to 13

Paul George jerseys will have a different look to them at Bankers Life Fieldhouse each night next season, as the Indiana Pacers star has changed from No. 24 to No. 13, assuming the alias "PG-13."  

According to ESPN.com's Darren Rovell, George made the decision before the deadline last March and bit the bullet by buying up all of the old No. 24s on the market, a number he had originally picked to honor Kobe Bryant.

Paul George Suffered a Serious Leg Injury Team USA Exhibition Game Video

George is expected to miss most or all of the NBA season after he was injured in the USA Basketball scrimmage in Las Vegas and, before having surgery, he tweeted that he’d “be ok and be back better than ever.” Still, the injury to one of the league’s young stars is going to ripple through the NBA for quite a while because of the frightening nature of it, its severity and the safety and oversight issues it raises.

Boxing Superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. visits Paul George in the Hospital

 

Paul George is still in the hospital, recovering from a successful operation, but his spirits were lifted by a visit from undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. In a post on his Instagram account, George wrote, “Appreciate the champ @floydmayweather visiting me in the hospital.. Gave me some great advice and kept my spirits high!! Appreciate you once again big bro! #TBE #TMT”. George got injured during a Team USA scrimmage last week.
