Injuries have forced Larry Fonacier to beg off from inclusion in the Gilas pool, for the upcoming FIBA World Championship. Unknown to many, Larry has been playing through a variety of foot and back injuries that have bothered him the past 2 years; and it is only his great dedication that has prevented him from taking anytime off. It is unfortunate that Fonacier won’t be able to go to Spain, but his exit does open up one roster spot, potentially for either Jared Dillinger or Paul Lee, who played big minutes during the FIBA Asia Cup.
